About the Item

An elegant and small scale pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu candlesticks. The pair are raised by triangular shaped bases with concave sides and Rais de Coeur top edges above the ball feet. Above are three scrolled supports in the form of ram legs ending with a paw at the bottom and a finely chased rams head at the top. The legs and rams heads support a central patinated Bronze urn with a beaded top trim. Above is an Ormolu egg and dart edge surmounted by circular floral designs all below the candle cup which is decorated by palmette motifs all around.
