English grandfather clock, 18th century, mahogany veneer with burl wood mirror, fluted full columns, elaborately hand-painted dial with Roman numerals and gold-plated hands, polychrome painting, clockwork with solid hook-eye mechanism and hourly chime on bell, starts running.
