About the Item

Architectural case in the Historicist style, in bone, with decorative fire-gilded bronze fittings and a base plate featuring four volute feet, crowned by a seated female figure with a lyre and a small putto with a wreath, symbolising music and poetry, love and life (wine goblet), below the clock, a bronze medallion with delicate enamel work – colourfully painted cherubs at play. Round white enamel dial with Roman hour markers, Arabic minute markers in increments of 5 in red and slender hands, bezel with original glass, spindle movement, inspected by a master watchmaker, cleaned and fully functional, original winding key included. Made around 1900 Dimensions: Height: 15,0 cm / 5.90 in Width: 9,2 cm / 3.62 in Depth: 6,0 cm / 2.36 in Gross weight: 408 Grams / 14.36 OZ Condition: Very well maintained - Case and enamel intact, movement functional, original key existing.
