About the Item

A 1960s sculptural surrealist figurine/ornament in partially glazed and hand-painted ceramic. An abstract form based upon an ovoid main shape. The main color is mustard and the applied glaze olive/pickle in tonality. Uniquely made by the Danish artist, sculptor, ceramist and poet Aksel Hansen (1896-1968). His style is very reminiscent of Alexander Archipenko, Gabriela Flores and John Skelton. A group of these ornament comes from the estate of his son Gert Hansen who has documented his fathers artistry but sadly died a few month back. The price is for the object displayed in the featured photo. A group of all the pieces by AH can be seen in the 3 photo. Measurements: 16x20x8 cm. Free World wide express shipping.

Beautiful ceramic sculpture designed by Giacomo Onestini made in his own atelier in Italy in 1970. It has a combination of matte and shiny glazed surfaces. The back and sides of the sculpture have a textured surface with shades of gray, green, and sometimes turquoise. On the front, there's a carved-out section that's smooth and glazed with red and gold hues. It's a very appealing and intriguing piece.
