TOWERX21 Architectural Elm Wood Sculpture in Dark Finish by Towerland. Dimensions: W 13.8 x D 13.8 x H 26.5 cm. Materials: Elm Wood with Dark Finish. The TOWERX2 series is a solid wood sculptural category, composed of six solid wood blocks assembled into paired composite forms. Like scaled-down models of large, ancient architecture, the works are solemn in their overall deep dark brown tone, rational in their fully symmetrical structure, and—due to their miniature proportions— appear naive, even cute. A contradictory contrast. The series attempts to place grandeur into an object that can be physically reached and held. What once could only be seen from a distance is now glimpsed through the gaps between assembled wooden blocks, from which ripples extend, allowing imagination to travel outward. TOWERLAND is an independent art and design brand founded by Chinese architect WuZhenyan. With timelessness and power as the creative will shaping spiritual drawings and sculptures, TOWERLAND seeks to convey an image of solidity and uniqueness. Taking inspiration from nature, architecture, time, and space, the brand favors diversity in its philosophy, choosing materials and techniques that suit each unique form. Its aim is to create a distinctive experience of the home—not only through furniture but as an expression of a way of life, participating in spatial relationships through minimal architectural forms.
