A Spanish 18th century sculpture of St. Anthony & The Child. This is a great antique sculpture of St. Anthony & The Child, created by a member of the Spanish school in the very early 18th century, circa 1750. The exquisite carving depicts the saint standing and dressed with very richly decorated ropes holding in the left arm the figure of the infant child. The sculpture is completely carved in wood, with remains of the polychrome paintings and gold gilding. Most probably this sculpture was part of a bigger scene or an altar and actually stand in an integrated base from the same period.
