Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) for Upsala Ekeby, Sweden. Ceramic vase in a modernist style. Glaze in orange and brown tones. Designed in 1968. Model 8052M. Marked. In good condition, small inconspicuous chip at the bottom of the vase. See photo. Dimensions: H 21.5 cm x D 10.5 cm. Mari Simmulson is recognized as a prominent figure in the esteemed world of Swedish ceramic design during the 20th century. She played a key role as one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby from the 1940s to the 1960s.
