Inger Birgitta Persson, ceramics designer, was born in Sweden on boxing day 1936. She went to Konstfack University in Stockholm 1955-1959 and during the summer months when she was off from her studies, Inger worked as a handyman for Gustavsbergs Porcelain Factory and Uppsala Ekeby. The years at Konstfack University ended with a degree exhibition resulting in the Director of Rörstrand, Fredrik Wehtje, hiring her.
