About the Item

Statuesque Italian Murano glass ceremonial presentation goblet chalice crafted during the nineteen eighties showcases refined Venetian Renaissance revival architecture and virtuoso hot-worked stem sculpture. Handcrafted in Italy, this elegant standing vessel rises from a circular, turned pedestal disc foot into an openwork architectural baluster stem centered on an open circular ring loop with an internal coiled scroll. Supporting the upper composition, the stem elevates an elongated, tapering conical flute cup that flares gracefully into an undulating, scalloped rim (bordo ondulato) edged in deep cobalt blue, reviving seventeenth-century Venetian banqueting proportions. Master glassmakers mouth-blew and assembled each component freehand at the furnace (a mano volante), executing the flute cup and spreading foot in ethereal cornflower-blue crystal treated with dynamic spiral optic ribbing (rigadin ritorto). The complex baluster stem is hot-tooled in translucent light blue glass centered around a circular wreath standard, flanked on either flank by applied, serrated crest wings enriched with shimmering gold aventurine (avventurina) and genuine twenty-four-karat gold leaf inclusions (foglia d'oro). Stacked compressed knops punctuate the stem above and below, echoing the spiral optic patterning. Under ambient daylight or directional vitrine illumination, the vessel transmits luminous sky-blue refractions, sparkling gilded specular highlights, and delicate rippled shadows across display surfaces. Elevate any luxury dining room tablescape, architectural fireplace mantel garniture, executive bar display, or museum-grade collection of vintage eighties Italian fine art glass with this authentic Murano presentation goblet. Ideal as a captivating standalone focal accent or styled alongside rare Venetian winged stemware and gilded ceremonial chalices within high-end Hollywood Regency, Classical Revival, and eclectic collector interiors, this Italian creation unites centuries of lagoon furnace virtuosity with timeless ceremonial grace. Add this rare light blue and gold dust aventurine Murano glass goblet to your decorative collection today.
