A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver helmet shaped creamer made by Peter and Ann Bateman, an addition to our Georgian silver teaware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base. The upper portion of the body is ornamented with a broad band of bright cut engraved irregular undulating decoration. The body of the jug is embellished with a pin struck and bright cut engraved decorated shield shaped vacant cartouche suspended from a stylized ribbon design. The rim of the body is encompassed with an applied reed decorated border. He surface of the square base is embellished with further bright cut engraved and pin struck leaf motifs and simple paralleling border. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver lady's mug by Henry Chawner, an addition to our Georgian silverware collection. This exceptional antique George III sterling silver mug has a plain tapering cylindrical form. The surface of this antique silver mug is embellished with an exceptional contemporary bright cut engraved coast of arms and crest depicting a demi-stag chained and collared. The upper and lower portions are encircled with tooled decorated borders to the rims. This ladies antique silver mug is fitted with an impressive tooled decorated S-scroll handle. The underside of the mug is ornamented with the contemporary engraved inscription: 'The Gift of Mrs Hourman at the age of eighty eight to her Great Grandson Edwd John Fisher, Novr 3 1790'.
