About the Item

Rara lampada a sospensione modello Arn disegnata da Bruno Chiarini per Chiarini Illuminazione nel 1958. Struttura in ottone, diffusore in vetro opalino bianco satinato. Buone condizioni, lievi difetti all' ottone che ne esaltano l' autenticità. Bruno Chiarini è stato un eclettico designer italiano e un piccolo produttore milanese attivo tra gli anni '50 e '60, la sua manifattura si inserisce perfettamente nella gloriosa tradizione dell'illuminazione modernista milanese del dopoguerra, producendo pezzi dalle linee audaci e sofisticate. La Manifattura Chiarini era più che una grande industria un'azienda di nicchia con uno storico showroom a Milano. La sua produzione rivaleggiava per stile e qualità artigianale con marchi celebri del periodo come Arredoluce, Stilnovo e Azucena. Le sue creazioni incarnano il perfetto stile Mid-Century Modern italiano, ja fatto largo uso di ottone lucido, metalli laccati in colorazioni vivaci (come il rosso e il nero) e pregiati diffusori in vetro incamiciato lattimo o satinato, ne abbiamo una valida testimonianza nelle insegne pubblicitarie delle riviste dell' epoca come Domus e La rivista dell' arredamento del 1958 dove appare proprio questo modello.
