About the Item

This elegant antique chandelier was crafted in France circa 1920 and beautifully captures the romantic spirit of early 20th century French lighting design. Suspended from a central iron stem, the fixture is constructed in hand-forged metal formed into graceful scrolling branches adorned with delicately cut leaves. The entire structure is dressed with numerous faceted crystal pendants in elongated teardrop and oval forms, each wired individually to resemble sparkling fruit clustered along flowering vines. The chandelier features multiple candle-style lights arranged in a circular tier, each fitted with wax-drip sleeves that enhance its authentic period character. The warm patinated iron frame displays a rich, timeworn finish with subtle tonal variation, offering a beautiful contrast to the brilliance of the clear crystals.
