About the Item

A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Alabaster chandelier. This handsome eight arm fourteen light chandelier is centered by a fine foliate finial below the impressive Alabaster dome which houses six light bulbs offering a warm glow throughout. The beautiful pierced rim displays four pairs of elegant arms each centered by a richly chased winged cherub mask. Leading up the scrolled support, which are adorned with large fine acanthus leaves, is the most decorative central fut below reeded and floral designs and a top spray of flowers.
