About the Item

A stunning pair of documented Seguso Vetri D’Arte wall sconces, hand-blown in Venice during the 1950s. These exquisite pieces are crafted from clear Murano glass infused with gold aventurine, creating a mesmerizing sparkle that beautifully reflects light. Aventurine glass was first made in Venice in the 15th centrury and imitates the mineral of the same name. Each sconce features an elegant hand made three-leaf design, showcasing Seguso’s exceptional craftsmanship and artistry. The sconces are show in an original Seguso catalog page. Mounted on an interior brass support, these sconces are both functional and decorative, making them perfect for a sophisticated living space, hallway, or bedroom. IMPORTANT, the sconces are shown on a blue wall. The true coloris clear with gold flecks. Dimensions: • Width: 6 in. (15.2 cm) • Height: 9 in. (22.9 cm) • Depth: 4.5 in. (11.4 cm) Condition: Very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear consistent with age. One sconce has a crack on the side of the socket cover on the inside of the glass leaves and can not be seen. These timeless Seguso creations embody the elegance and refinement of mid-century Venetian glassmaking and are a rare find for collectors and design enthusiasts alike.
