About the Item

Max Sauze style. Hollywood Regency brass table lamp, France, 1960s. This cylindrical table or floor lamp is made by joining pieces of brass sheet between them along vertical seatposts, which are hidden behind the folds of the brass sheets and are screwed both at the top and at the base. These metal sheets are arranged following a geometric pattern, leaving opaque parts and open parts where the light from the interior lampshade passes through, creating a unique lighting effect. Mid-Century, Space Age, Brutalist and Hollywood Regenci style. A totally timeless piece, with a certain Memphis air. Very much in the style of Max Sauze's lighting creations and designs, where he usually plays with metal sheets, usually aluminum, creating geometric patterns that are very characteristic of his work. An example of this is their famous design of the Cassiope lamp. Very much in the style also of the Spanish lighting creations of Metalarte and Estiluz from the 60s and 70s. For one E27 bulb (compatible with E26 bulbs). Electrical installation renewed, with its original brass and ceramic lampholder. LED compatible. The inner lampshade has been renewed in a light cream or ivory tone. Little wear on the metal parts. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
