About the Item

Striking pair of vintage ceramic table lamps designed and manufactured in the United States during the 1960s. With their bold sculptural proportions and sophisticated palette of deep red, glossy black and aged gold gilt, the lamps make an exceptionally decorative statement for both residential and hospitality interiors. Each lamp features a substantial turned ceramic body composed of stacked architectural forms, alternating between rich oxblood-red and black glazed finishes. The bases and elongated necks are finished with gold gilding, introducing warmth and contrast while emphasizing the lamps' dramatic silhouettes. Natural aging, craquelure and areas of wear to the gilded surfaces contribute to their authentic vintage character. The strong geometric profiles reference both Hollywood Regency and Asian-inspired decorative traditions while remaining remarkably versatile. Their scale makes them particularly well suited for use on a pair of substantial nightstands, console tables, end tables or credenzas. For interior designers, the lamps offer an effective way to introduce color, symmetry and sculptural presence into a room without overwhelming the surrounding furnishings.
