About the Item

This charming pair of vintage French studio ceramic bedside lamps was crafted by the renowned Faïencerie de Longchamp circa 1950. Stamped and signed under the bases, each lamp features a stylized round form accented by horizontal ridged texture and vertical ribbed panels, creating a lovely relief effect reminiscent of classic mid-century gourd or melon designs. The ceramic body is coated in a deep, lustrous burgundy red glaze with subtle color variations that highlight the architectural relief work. Finished with original brass sockets, this matching pair diffuses a warm, inviting light. Their rich color tone, graphic tactile surface, and neat proportions make them an ideal set of bedside nightstand lamps or accent lights for Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, or contemporary interiors. Very good condition. Features a standard European plug and B22 bayonet bulbs. Works with a simple country adapter (US adapter can be provided upon request).
