Rectangular miniature depicting Psyche and Love (Louvre) after François Gerard (1770-1837) signed J. Barret du Coudert, titled lower right and dated 1859. Wooden frame and gilded stucco with frieze decoration in a fine box from Alphonse Giroux, Paris. Box dimensions: 33 x 27 cm Frame dimensions: 30 x 24 cm Miniature dimensions: 19 x 14 cm Marie-Joséphine Beret du Coudert (1832-?) née Rozier exhibited this work at the 1859 Salon.
