Solid brass six spoke ships wheel on pedestal. Very heavy piece, the head is engraved AE Steering Gear, American Engineering Company, Philadelphia U.S.A. with rudder indicator arrow and degrees on head also. Internal gears are still present and turn the arrow. Mounted to a thick wood base. Circa 1920 Weight: 168 lbs Overall dimensions: 55" H x 42" W x 19" D Made: America Material: Brass Date: 1920.
