Striking 1920s Art Deco Black Enamel and Red Lacquer Cigarette Case This striking 1920s Art Deco cigarette case epitomizes the sleek sophistication of the Jazz Age. Its bold geometric design featuring mirrored V-shaped inlays of black and white eggshell enamel accented by sharp red lacquer lines creates a dynamic visual tension that perfectly captures the modernist aesthetic of the period. Beautifully proportioned, the case is sizable in width and height yet elegantly slim in depth, designed to slip effortlessly into a tuxedo pocket for a night out at the club or cocktail bar. The craftsmanship is exceptional: the surface is a smooth, deep black enamel with contrasting textured inlays, exuding quiet luxury and precision typical of fine French or Continental Deco metalwork. Though unmarked, the case bears a maker’s stamp resembling a shield with a “W” inside a “V” and an arrow, flanked by a small 9 (or 6) on either side.
