Art Deco vintage armchair designed by Oskar Strnad attributed and manufactured in Vienna Austria, circa 1925. A fabulous armchair from carved and turned solid ashwood with cord woven seat with a Rustic influence throughout the woven seat. Oskar Strnad ( 1879 - 1935 ) Austrian architect and designer Oskar Strnad influenced, together with Josef Frank, the Viennese School of Architecture ( Wiener Schule der Architektur ). He stood for housing for all people and designed houses, furniture pieces, but also he created ceramics. Both chairs are in good condition 2 chairs are available.
