A handsome pair of vintage Mid-Century Modern armchairs, attributed to Jens Risom, featuring clean architectural lines, solid walnut frames, and rich burgundy leather upholstery. Each chair is designed with gently curved arms, squared legs, and upholstered seat and back cushions, creating a classic understated look associated with American and Scandinavian-influenced Modern design of the period. The chairs are unmarked as to manufacturer; therefore, the Jens Risom attribution cannot be definitively confirmed. Their proportions, construction, materials, and overall design are consistent with furniture associated with Risom and other quality Mid-Century Modern makers. A versatile pair well suited for use as occasional chairs, desk chairs, library chairs, or accent seating.
