About the Item

This antique piece is an Edwardian style barber's chair with adjustable back. Crafted from turned hardwood with a mechanical reclining back and distinct rounded arm supports. The chairs been well loved over the decades and definitely shows signs of wear but we love the character it adds, almost has a deconstructed feel. It would make the perfect prop or fixture in a barber shop, or design space that needs a healthy dose of antique goodness. The chair stays in the slightly reclined position shown unless placed against a wall. I'm sure it could be fixed in a more upright position with a little tweeking.
