About the Item

Pair of sculptural fireside chairs in layered plywood, most likely produced in Germany between 1970 and 1980. The design is characterized by its bold, architectural construction, where flat planes and soft curves come together in a compact yet expressive form. The chairs showcase the natural warmth of the material, with visible edges and a beautiful honey-toned finish. The slightly angled backrest and low seat give the chairs a relaxed, informal feel, while the solid side panels provide both stability and a strong visual identity. Despite their minimal and almost primitive appearance, these chairs are surprisingly comfortable, making them ideal as fireside chairs, lounge seating, or as accent pieces in a more eclectic or design-driven interior. Sourced in Munich. In good vintage condition, with visible signs of use consistent with age, including light wear and small marks to the wood Dimensions: Height: 70 cm Seat height: 35 cm Width: 40 cm Depth: 40 cm
