About the Item

Mid-Century Danish rolling office chair designed by Jacob Jensen for Labofa Mobler in the 1960s. The architectural polished steel and aluminum base, an open pentagonal sled form on four black rubber casters, supports an adjustable column with a visible height-adjustment lever. The contoured seat and backrest are upholstered in wood-grain vinyl with black perimeter trim. Jacob Jensen trained at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts and later became internationally recognized for his work with Bang and Olufsen. His earlier industrial and furniture designs, including work produced with Labofa Mobler, reflect the same commitment to functional clarity and refined form. The Labofa collaboration placed Jensen's sensibility within the Danish office furniture tradition, which prized ergonomic thinking alongside disciplined aesthetics. The chair shows wear consistent with age and use.
