These tall, beautifully handcrafted Chinese Chippendale chairs feature a tortoiseshell finish, caned-bottom seats, and intricate bamboo open fretwork. Seat without a loose cushion is 19" high. Cushions are not included. Chinese design and bamboo furniture became highly fashionable in the Western world after the completion of the Royal Pavilion in Brighton for future King George IV in 1801.
