About the Item

An elegant and extremely decorative pair of Italian 19th century Birds Eye Maplewood, ebonized Fruitwood, and Gris St. Anne marble cabinet vitrines from Naples. Each three door cabinet is raised by turned mottled ebonized Fruitwood feet below the beautiful scalloped shaped frieze. The central doors retain their original fitted mirror plates framed within mottled Maplewood borders and displaying fine ormolu keyhole escutcheons and which open to reveal one shelf. The doors at each side retain their original hand blown fitted glass panes and open to reveal two shelves with their original mirror backgrounds giving a wonderful illusion of depth into the cabinet. Above are the original Gris St. Anne marble tops which repeat the superb scalloped shape of the cabinets and display lovely mottled borders and rounded corners. All original warm patina and hardware throughout.
