About the Item

This vintage French Louis Philippe-style commode by Grange was crafted in France circa 2004. Constructed from richly toned cherry wood, the chest features a warm, softly polished finish that highlights the natural grain and character of the timber. Its restrained architectural silhouette reflects the simplicity and balance associated with Louis Philippe furniture. A gently projecting top and molded cornice frame three broad drawers, while the substantial plinth base gives the piece a handsome, grounded presence. The clean drawer fronts are accented by understated brass hardware, preserving the commode’s refined and uncluttered appearance. Each of the three spacious drawers offers generous storage and is beautifully constructed with traditional dovetail joinery, demonstrating Grange’s attention to quality and durability. The chest was made according to the traditions of French cabinetmaking and retains its original “Made in France” workshop label.
