About the Item

We present you an antique piece of furniture covered with mahogany veneer with beautiful grain. It is topped with a green marble board. The whole is dated the turn of the 18th and the 19th centuries. This secretary is composed of a double-leaf cabinet with drawers and a movable board hiding the inside, which is flush with the rest, with a set of small drawers and a drawer under the cornice. The inner side of the board is lined with green leather. The brass fittings complement the whole. Presented secretary has undergone renovation. It was finished, in accordance with conservation guidelines, in Shellac prepared and layered by using old techniques. There are vertical traces of cracks on two leaves.
