About the Item

This late nineteenth century artisan-made oak sculptor's table or sculpture stand from France stands ready to accommodate any oeuvre d'art. Constructed using mortise and tenon joinery, it is supported by three legs and has a 17.5 inch diameter top that rotates, allowing the artist to turn a sculpture while working. A lower platform provides additional display space. A versatile piece that could also serve as a plant stand, circa 1900.
