About the Item

H BLOCKS is a pair of sculptural ceramic pieces conceived at the intersection of furniture and primitive architecture. Built in heavily chamotted black stoneware, the forms evoke raw structural blocks—simple, graphic, and powerful. Their geometry is reduced to an essential H-shaped structure, creating a bold rhythm of masses and voids. The deep central recess cuts through the volume like an architectural incision, giving the objects a strong graphic presence while emphasizing their sculptural character. Hand-built and fired in black chamotte stoneware, the surfaces retain a deliberately raw and mineral texture. Slight irregularities, subtle shifts in edges, and the granular body of the clay highlight the handmade process and reinforce the primitive quality of the pieces. Designed as stools, side tables, or sculptural blocks, the pair can be used individually or together to create a modular composition. Their compact yet monolithic presence makes them equally suited to interiors, galleries, or architectural spaces. Part furniture, part sculpture, H BLOCKS embody a brutalist approach to ceramic design—direct, structural, and elemental.
