About the Item

A rectangular white marble top rests on a walnut base with this occasional table. It is from the Victorian period. The carved walnut marble-topped table is American or English, and it was manufactured in 1881, according to a label that describes the provenance. The top has a molded edge and the corners are rounded. There is hand carving on each side of the table near the top, which rests on a raised shaped four-part support enclosing turned standard, on four shaped legs with incised scroll feet. The section under the top is stamped with the number 13. The table is 29 inches tall, 19 inches wide, and 16 inches deep. This is a fine table in an elegant style and good condition.
