Rare Spanish Colonial devotional painting depicting Our Lady of Candelaria, originally conceived as part of a processional banner or ecclesiastical standard. The composition presents the Virgin standing above clouds and cherub heads, surrounded by radiant celestial light in a highly symbolic Marian iconography. Oil on canvas with evident historical wear, later restorations and repainting accumulated over centuries of devotional use, contributing to the powerful historic character of the piece.
