Delivery is INCLUDED for all areas in MAINLAND UK via a selected parcel company. The painting has the original gilt frame and the verso with signed authentication stamp issued by the estate. Kenneth Stevens MacIntire was a sculptor and painter. He reportedly did not sell any of his non-commissioned work during his lifetime. Born in Boston, MacIntire studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Architectural Club School of Design. During World War I, he was assigned to a unit which specialized in Dazzle Art, a camouflage system for ships. After the war, he opened a studio in Washington D.C. His work was featured on the cover of House Beautiful magazine. In the 1930s, he moved to California and painted celebrity portraits and famous horses. The picture has a material backing and mount. The watercolour and part of the mount has lifted slightly in places under the glass. There are some darker marks on the material at the bottom of each corner.
