1969 OMEGA DE VILLE Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Azure Mist Blue Dial Watch - Stainless Steel
Gorgeous Restored Condition - 1 Year Warranty - 100% Feedback
Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage De Ville watches.
Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a pleasing case and Azure Mist color dial.
It circa dates to around 1968 or 1969 where it might have laid next to the Speedmaster Professional that would be headed to the Moon.
Its striking sunburst dial is finished in a shade we affectionately call - Azure Mist, a sophisticated blue that sits somewhere between tropical waters and a clear summer sky. Depending on the light, the dial shifts from a bright icy blue at its center to deeper azure tones around the perimeter, creating a subtle sense of depth and movement that is difficult to capture in photographs.
Its monococque - or one-piece - Omega case, which achieved new high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the top-tier offering of the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.6 out of 10.
Its case presents as mint with with only light signs of previous polishing.
Despite what the photos seem to suggest, all of the stamping on the back is still intact.
Its original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in azure mist blue - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
On the wrist, the watch presents as mint.
As part of the restoration, the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It continues to run very strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, a new leather calfskin strap with aftermarket Omega style logo has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. A five and a half decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!
