Large Panel of 9 Original Modernist Relief Sculptures by Ron Hitchins
Large Panel of 9 Original Modernist Relief Sculptures by Ron Hitchins

Large Panel of 9 Original Modernist Relief Sculptures by Ron Hitchins

By Ron Hitchins

Located in London, GB

Stunning original panel made of 9 handmade fibreglass relief sculptures from the artist's own home. Each sculpture is unique, with beautiful rust and copper tones, and several are signed by the artist. This very large, striking piece has a great Brutalist and Modernist feel. It is particularly notable as an example of Hitchin’s mastery of finishing techniques in simulating aged metal. The relief sculptures were visible outside of Ron’s house and became a Hackney landmark. They were carefully removed by the artist's estate after Ron passed away. Year: unknown (Ron was active from the mid 1960s to the early 2000s) Colour: Rust and copper tones Signature: 5 of the relief sculptures bear the artist's trademark initials “RH” Framing: The sculptures have been carefully mounted on a cotton covered board with a walnut wood trim and a hidden subrame on the reverse for ease of hanging. Authenticity: This piece was purchased directly from the Artist's Estate and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the sole executor of the Ron Hitchins...

Hexagonal Lilac Grey Wall Sculpture in Hand Molded Ceramic Relief Modular Panel

Hexagonal Lilac Grey Wall Sculpture in Hand Molded Ceramic Relief Modular Panel

By Elizabeth Art Candy

Located in FISTERRA, ES

Hexagonal lilac grey clay wall sculpture in hand molded ceramic relief designed for modular panel installation. This wall-mounted clay sculpture is constructed from hand molded natural clay, low-temperature fired and spray-finished in a muted lilac grey tone. The surface develops through intertwined tubular strands compressed into a compact hexagonal format, generating a dense ceramic relief defined by repetition and controlled accumulation. The lilac grey coloration introduces a cooler chromatic register compared to the yellow counterpart in the series. Rather than relying on saturation, the piece articulates depth through shadow and subtle tonal variation. The braided clay elements create a continuous tactile structure, where light interacts with the relief to produce shifting gradients across the surface. The hexagonal support establishes a geometric boundary that contrasts with the organic curvature of the clay forms. This tension between containment and expansion is central to the work’s spatial presence. The sculpture functions independently as a clay wall relief...

Here he met Walter Spies...
