About the Item

Vibrant pair of Italian Murano glass ceremonial wine goblets crafted during the nineteen eighties showcases classic Venetian Baroque revival virtuosity and celebratory harvest iconography. Handcrafted in Italy, each statuesque standing vessel rises from a circular, turned emerald-green pedestal disc foot into an organic, freeform vine stem standard adorned with sculpted foliage and clustered orchard fruits. Elevated above these botanical pedestals, generous bell-form chalice cups flare gracefully upward, terminating in undulating, scalloped circular rims inspired by historic Venetian banqueting glass. Master glassmakers mouth-blew and assembled each component freehand at the furnace (a mano volante). The soaring fluted bowls are executed in delicate ribbed optic crystal (rigadin), offering an exquisite chromatic pairing of translucent blush-pink (rosa) on one vessel and luminous sky-blue (azzurro) on the other. Supporting the cups, the stems are hot-worked in sinuous, twisted deep-green glass stems surrounded at the base by hot-tooled leaves, curled vine tendrils, and a vibrant cornucopia of polychrome fruit charms—including ruby cherries, golden lemons, and miniature orchard accents. Under ambient daylight or focused candlelight, the ribbed walls bend light into radiant vertical ribbons, casting colorful pastel refractions, vivid emerald reflections, and playful organic silhouettes across fine dining surfaces. Elevate any luxury dining room tablescape, architectural fireplace mantel garniture, executive bar display, or vintage eighties Italian fine art glass collection with this authentic pair of Murano ceremonial goblets. Ideal as an eye-catching symmetrical focal statement or styled alongside rare Venetian figurative stemware and floral art glass, this Italian pair unites centuries of lagoon furnace virtuosity with whimsical harvest charm. Add this rare pair of pink and light blue fruit motif Murano glass goblets to your decorative collection today.
