About the Item

Pair of vintage Weiman lounge chairs with a bold, sculptural presence and unmistakable postmodern character. Each chair features generously rounded proportions, oversized looping arms, a barrel-form backrest, and deep cushioned seating that gives the pair a low, substantial, lounge-forward silhouette. The upholstery combines a warm taupe textured body fabric with patterned seat and back cushions in earthy tones of cream, charcoal, brown, and beige. The contrast between the soft neutral frame and the graphic geometric textile gives the chairs a great visual rhythm—playful without feeling loud, and very much in line with the late 1970s to 1980s postmodern design language. The most striking feature is the exaggerated continuous arm shape, which wraps from the back down toward the floor, creating a dramatic architectural profile from every angle. The rear and side views are just as compelling as the front, making these chairs ideal for floating in a room rather than being pushed against a wall. Comfortable, substantial, and highly decorative, this pair would work beautifully in a collected living room, library, lounge, or bedroom seating area. They have the kind of scale and personality that can anchor a space while still remaining inviting and usable.
